UHD continues to screen all patients entering our facilities for symptoms of COVID-19, with symptomatic patients being tested as needed. For the general public, COVID tests, COVID vaccines and COVID booster shots are available by appointment at UHD clinics in Blue Earth, Fairmont and Wells.

COVID TESTS
COVID tests are offered at UHD as an Office Visit or Same Day Appointment. All testing is billed to applicable health insurance. UHD offers Pfizer brand COVID vaccines and boosters.
COVID VACCINES
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines for their age group, which are categorized as follows:
- Children and teens ages 6 months–17 years
- Adults ages 18 years and older
Getting a COVID-19 vaccine after you recover from COVID-19 infection provides added protection against COVID-19.
- If you recently had COVID-19, you may consider delaying your next vaccine dose (primary dose or booster) by 3 months from when your symptoms started or, if you had no symptoms, when you first received a positive test.
- People who are moderately or severely immunocompromised have different recommendations for COVID-19 vaccines.
COVID BOOSTERS
Boosters are an important part of protecting yourself from getting seriously ill or dying from COVID-19. One updated (bivalent) booster is recommended for people ages 5 years and older. The recommendation for your updated (bivalent) booster is based on three things:
- Your age
- Completion of your primary series
- The length of time since your last dose
