United Hospital District is proud to offer Direct Access Lab Services, allowing you to order certain selected single and multiple tests quickly and conveniently without the need to see your health care provider.
Direct access testing was developed to help you monitor certain ongoing health risks. It is a helpful tool but should not be used as a substitute for visiting your health care provider on a regular basis. All testing is performed in our accredited laboratory.
Please note: It is the patient's responsibility to follow up with their primary care provider to discuss test results.
Reasons to Consider Direct Access Lab Testing
Direct Access Lab Testing is a more cost-effective option for individuals who may be without insurance or have a high deductible insurance plan.
You do not have to make an appointment or see a provider to have direct access labs drawn.
Direct Access Lab Testing allows you the ability to monitor your health more closely by checking certain health indicators more frequently than provider-ordered tests.
